Rye Harbour Nature Reserve has been in existence since since 1970, but recently with the opening of the impressive Discovery Centre, it has taken on a new lease of life.
To celebrate the unique landscape and special wildlife of the reserve, an anthology of images and poems has been published recently. As part of the Rye Arts Festival various writings inspired by the location have also been posted along a trail round the reserve.
Over the last couple of years it’s been a privilege to work with Writer in Residence Jane Lovell and friends to discover how words can help us respond to what we see and feel in nature around us.
